sports & physical fitness

Although there is a focus on the social, historical, and sporting traditions of African American women, there is also information on the socioeconomic level and athletic participation of other ethnic groups. The discussion focuses on the lack of or silence surrounding varied ethnic women in mainstream academia, athletics, and culture, and we tend to outline literature, research, surveys, events, sports clinics, professional, youth and amateur sports events that help to demonstrates the need for more resources to be placed in Women of Color in Sports.

stem & Arts

Giving women the same chances as men to pursue and succeed in STEM occupations contributes to the reduction of the gender pay gap, increases the financial security of women, assures a competent and diverse STEM workforce, and eliminates biases in these disciplines and the goods and services they generate.

mental health awareness

For Women of Color, particularly, for Black women, maintaining their mental health frequently involves overcoming a number of obstacles. Black women battle continually to take care of their mental health while dealing with both racial and gender oppression. It is important for us to provide avenues and resources for all women of color to discuss and solve any concerns they may be facing. We partner with Clinical psychologists across California that focus on the mental wellness of women, where as to provide free virtual and in-person sessions for all women in need.
We're currently planning our calendar of events for the 2024 new year. To stay updated on our upcoming events, donation drives, programs and partnerships sign up for our newsletter.
